Google Earth and Expeditions is a great tool which engages students by giving them the experience of exploring various locations. It allows students to travel around the world. This is a good tool to implement in a social studies lesson when comparing and contrasting various places and cultures. Students are able to zoom in and get a clear view of the location and facts can be displayed to give additional information.

I can use Google Earth to teach geography, history, math, and more. It’s a wonderful resource to teach students about other cultures, their sense of direction, as well the diversity of our planet.

Students can take VR tours on various topics. They can get a more in depth look on topics such as strands of DNA something that cannot be viewed just by opening up your eyes.
